This presentation will give an overview on (data [protection] related) legal initiatives in Austria and Europe since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Specifically, we will deal with the (so called) Covid-App and the (so called) Digital Greeen Passport. We will consider ethical and social implications of the technologies chosen and will also discuss some of the information security related aspects of the technologies developed.
