Welcome to our website for the 2nd International summer school on "Deep Learning and Visual Data Analysis". The school aims at bringing together students, researchers and professionals from different fields and different countries to explore the challenges and recent developments in the field. The summer school is a collaboration between the Universities of Vienna and Ostrava – the first summer school took place in Ostrava in 2017, this year it will be hosted in Vienna.

The Summer School introduces participants to the basic principles and rules of deep learning and deep neural networks and their applications in computing.
