Data Science Initiative Workshop: Deep Learning

The Data Science Initiative is a young and enthusiastic student group which is organizing a workshop about "Deep Learning" on November 20th and 27th.

Dr. Klaudius Kalcher, Chief Scientist at mostly AI, will be giving two presentations about Deep Learning.

In part I of this introduction, they will explore the general principles of Deep Learning, and discuss overarching themes and common challenges of training deep neural networks. In very general terms, they will address a broad array of applications, including supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning tasks.

In part II of this introduction, some of the most important Deep Learning architectures will be presented. They will take a closer look at some of the most important building blocks of modern AI models, including convolutional networks and recurrent neural networks.

When: 20th and 27th November 2018, 18:30 to 20:00
Where: Oskar-Morgenstern-Platz 1, 1090 Vienna, ground floor, HS 5
